It turns out that my adventure with Lambeth parking enforcement was, as Americans say, peanuts, compared to this:

As I don’t know anything about cricket, I don’t know who Andrew Flintoff is. But that’s irrelevant, because the man gave an interview and was utterly right about what he said:

It turns out that after US President Barack Obama told his French colleague Nicolas Sarkozy that he should invite British royals to the D-Day anniversary in Normandy this weekend, Sarko gave in and an official invitation was sent by the French ambassador to Prince Charles:

This just came in:
Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, is to resign, Sky News reported today.
Her decision, following allegations against her over her parliamentary expenses, would open the way to a major Cabinet reshuffle early next week which could also see Alistair Darling removed as Chancellor.
Good riddance. Now she can retire from this exhausting public service that demands so many expenses to be claimed, and perhaps sit back on the sofa and watch porn …

It’s said that Cornwall is England’s wild west. Well, we didn’t see any cowboys shooting their revolvers as one would imagine they would in ‘real’ wild west, but we did see marvellous landscape, nature, Atlantic ocean, sandy beaches, cows and lambs. It is indeed really beautiful there. It’s a place where roads are sometimes so narrow one car barely fits there, and where mobile coverage isn’t taken for granted. So here’s a little diary from …
