81-year-old Moshe Kedar and 67-year-old Mordechai Hersch, both Israelis, got famous overnight, when they tried to smuggle an astonishing 12.5 tons (yes, twelve and a half TONS) of marijuana into Britain last Tuesday.
The Sun reports of the partners in crime, saying they were arrested after a tug boat arrived at Southampton, carrying marijuana worth 36 million pounds.

Pupils as young as five were left ‘confused and worried’ after a school assembly to explain homosexuality.
Teachers played a recording of Elton John’s Your Song before explaining that the singer is homosexual and what the term means.
The children were then shown images of same-sex couples.

According to Channel 4 News’ exclusive poll, Labour party members no longer have confidence in Gordon Brown’s leaderhip – a majority think he should step dow before the election and more than one in five think he should go immediately.

Fortunately, not in London. But it was snowing in Scotland only yesterday:
Yesterday, we were shivering in summer’s first dusting of snow. Yes, snow.
