Apple today launched its iPhone’s 3rd generation, which is called iPhone 3GS – S standing for ’speed’. The new phone features, according to the Telegraph, an improved 3MP camera and also ability to record video, which can be instantly shared to YouTube.

The final result of European Parliament election shows that the Conservatives got altogether 26 seats (one from Nothern Ireland), which is one more than last time. 29% of the people who voted yesterday voted for Tories, according to their website.
The 29% share is 2% up from 2005 and 14% more than Labour received.
We topped the poll in Wales (for the first time since 1931) and in every region in England except the North East.

Lebanese people showed clearly yesterday that they don’t want the terrorist group Hezbollah in power and voted for the anti-Syrian coalition, led by Saad al-Hariri, the son of murdered ex-Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri.
Al-Hariri’s pro-Western bloc won 71 of parliament’s 128 seats, opposition alliance that groups Shi’ite factions Hezbollah and Amal got only 57 seats, Reuters reports.

Ex-Europe Minister Caroline Flint branded Prime Minister Gordon Brown a “f****** b******” as she stormed out of the Government, Daily Mail reports.
Her expletive-laden rage to aides was revealed as the jilted ex-Europe Minister went on the attack to dismiss the Prime Minister as a bully and an utter hypocrite.

British nazi party – the BNP – got a surprising two seats to European Parliament yesterday, which isn’t really much among 72 British seats, as Dan Hannan says, but there is one point that actually makes it matter.

The secretive communist state of North Korea sent two American journalists to a forced labour camp for 12 years for an unspecified “grave crime”, The Times reports.
Korean Central News Agency said that the “trial confirmed the grave crime they committed against the Korean nation and their illegal border crossing”. It also said that the court “sentenced each of them to 12 years of reform through labour”.

Last week’s European Parliament election ended yesterday with good gains for rightwingers all over Europe. In Poland, 80% of the votes went to centre-to-right parties, in Hungary 60%.
In Germany, the conservative CDU/CSU won with 37.9% of the votes and the social democrats came in second with 20.8% share of the vote. Bear in mind that a coalition of CDU/CSU and social democrats is in power in Germany.

Labour suffered its worst post-war election result yesterday – the Party’s share of vote at the European Parliament election was a mere 15.3%. Labour lost at least five of their MEP seats and the final result hasn’t yet been announced.
It was a great night for Tories yesterday as they won with 28.6% of the votes. Tories gained at least one MEP seat, bringing the total to at least 24.
