Russians regard Georgia, the United States and Ukraine as their biggest enemies, while Belarus, Kasakhstan and China are considered as best friends, an independent research centre Levada found in a recent poll.
50% of Russians regard Belarus friendly towards Russia, 38% Kasakhstan and 18% China. Among others, 3% consider also the UK as friendly towards Russia.
On the other hand, 62% of Russians regard Georgia to be Russias enemy, and 45% think that of the United States. …

Turns out my cheers for Palm Pre seemed to have been premature. It turns out that Palm Pre customers have been experiencing rapid battery drains, according to the Just Another Mobile Monday blog.
As in the Pre is completely ‘powerless’ after sitting idle for 2 to 4 hours.  Now could this be a settings issues?  Sure.  Maybe its something that Palm can fix?  Possibly.  However, poor battery life can be a deal breaker for many people, …

An Airbus A320 of Russian national airline Aeroflot made an emergevny landing today in Novosibirsk, after a crack in the windshield was noticed.
According to UPI, none of the 116 passangers and six crew members were hurt.
The plane was en route from Irkutsk to Moscow when the incident occurred. The cause of the windshield crack was being investigated, UPI said.

Airbus A330-200, owned by a budget Australian airline with over 200 people on board, made an emergency landing on the island of Guam after a fire broke out in the cockpit as the plane flew over the western Pacific Ocean, the Times reports.

London is no longer in the top 50 of the most expensive cities to live in for foreigners, according to the latest Cost of Living Survey by human resources consultancy ECA International.

I’m genuinely shocked. According to Daily Mail, tube drivers’ average salary is not formerly reported £37,000, their starting salary is an enormous £40,000, going up to £50,000 with overtime.
And in addition, they get a 43 days holiday a year, and work only a 36-hour week. Moreover, their partners also receive free travel on the Tube and buses.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown promised us “change” in his ways, to clean up the Government from people who have abused the expense system, and basically overall new politics. It didn’t turn out very well, as always.
