Biggest enemies of Russians – Georgia and US
Russians regard Georgia, the United States and Ukraine as their biggest enemies, while Belarus, Kasakhstan and China are considered as best friends, an independent research centre Levada found in a recent poll.
50% of Russians regard Belarus friendly towards Russia, 38% Kasakhstan and 18% China. Among others, 3% consider also the UK as friendly towards Russia.
On the other hand, 62% of Russians regard Georgia to be Russias enemy, and 45% think that of the United States. 41% of the people polled consider Ukraine as Russia’s enemy. 35% think that Latvia and Lithuania are Russia’s enemies, and 30% think that of Estonia.
Interestingly, 13% of Russians think that Russia doesn’t have friends, but only 3% say there are no enemies.
