1,000 convicts at large, police protect their “privacy”

7th July 2009 By Sten No Comment

Almost 1,000 criminals, including murderers, rapists and paedophiles are wrongly at large, and police are refusing to identify them, citing data protection laws, the Daily Mail reports.

The dangerous convicts should have been returned to jail after committing new crimes or breaking the terms of their early release, but they have been allowed to cheat justice for up to 25 years after police forces across the country failed to track them down.

Those who remain on the run include 20 murderers, 15 rapists and five paedophiles. Of the 954 criminals wrongly at large, at least 59 have re-offended, including crimes of rape.

“The public will be shocked,” Shadow Justice Secretary Dominic Grieve said, according to the report. “Labour’s reckless early release scheme and lax approach to probation is putting the public at greater risk. Cuts to frontline probation services will only make this situation even worse.”

It’s astonishing, however, how the scum of the Earth always has rights, including the rights to “privacy”, but we the people don’t have rights to be protected from those bastards. Thank you, Labour, once again.
