Calais migrants ambush Britons at knifepoint
Migrant gangs in Calais, who try to get to the United Kingdom illegally, are targeting British holidaymakers in terrifying highway robberies, the Daily Mail reports.
Those criminals are forming human roadblocks to force motorists passing through the French port town to stop and then they rob the travellers at knifepoint.
About nine million Britons pass through Calais every year – 25,000 a day on average.
Calais’ police warned British tourists, asking them to keep their windows closed and doors locked until they safely arrive inside the ferry terminal.
I’ve got to admit, it is quite scary in Calais these days. Hundreds of gangs of so-called “refugees” loiter around the city and if you see about ten of them coming towards you, it does make you pray for your life. Or run. And the French police is incapable of doing anything about them, despite of the fact that they’re illegal immigrants already in France.
One of the less scary possibilities is to take the ferry to/from Dunkirk. When I travelled through Dunkirk in May this year, there were no illegals around there. The travel time across the channel is 30 minutes longer, but I’m sure one’s life is worth more than that.
