The French president Nicolas Sarkozy has been rushed to hospital in Paris after being taken ill while exercising, the Telegraph reports.
A spokesman for the Elysee palace said that Sarkozy is undergoing medical tests after reporting feeling unwell.
54-year-old Sarkozy is a fitness enthusiast with no serious illness in his medical history. A keen cyclist and jogger, he has repeatedly been photographed running with his security detail during international summits and while on holiday.

Briton Lewis Hamilton won his first race of the ongoing Formula One season today in Hungary’s Hungaroring, Finland’s Ferrari driver Kimi Räikkönen came second and Australian, Red Bull driver Mark Webber third.
Last year’s champion Hamilton finished 11.5 seconds before Räikkönen and took his first win since October last year.
Nico Rosberg was fourth for Williams ahead of Hamilton’s team-mate Heikki Kovalainen, Toyota’s Timo Glock, Button and the second Toyota of Jarno Trulli.

Felipe Massa will undergo a brain scan after fracturing his skull in two places in yesterdays accident, Sky News reports.
The Brazilian is in a stable condition in intensive care after he slammed his Ferrari into tyre barriers at around 120mph during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
He was hit on the head while travelling at around 170mph by a spring that came out of a Brawn GP car being driven by Rubens Barrichello.
