Darling: we can win General Election
Talk about being farther from reality than the Moon is from the Sun: Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistar Darling is under the impression that Labour could win the next General Election.
Darling said in BBC today that he was optimistic about Labour’s prospect at the next General Election, PoliticsHome reports.
“Yes, I do think we can win a General Election. I am confident, and I am not noted to be a natural optimist,” he said.
Darling added that he believed that Prime Minister Gordon Brown could win the next election and that the Labour party would “need to fight for every single vote”.
