FBI Director Robert Mueller thundered down on Scotland’s Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill for releasing the Lockerbie bomber Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, an act that “gives comfort to terrorists” all over the world, FoxNews reports.

Briton Lewis Hamilton is to start on pole position in tomorrow’s Formula One European GP in Valencia, his teammate in McLaren, Heikko Kovalainen starts right beside him.
Brawn GP’s Rubens Barrichello starts on the third place, his teammate Jenson Button fifth. Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel landed on the fourth place in the starting grid.

29% of the American voters strongly approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President, 39% strongly disapprove, giving Obama a presidential approval index rating of -10, according to Rasmussen Reports daily presidential tracking poll.
This is the first time since 31st July that the president’s approval index has fallen to negative double digits.
Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance, 50% now disapprove.

I mentioned a couple of days ago that on day 4, we had a dilemma, whether to go to the Isle of Mull or not. We decided not to and headed towards north instead. But we kept the option still open, and on our way back to south, we decided that now it’s a good time to visit the island.

Now that Scotland has released convicted Lockerbie mass murderer Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, the United States should kill or capture him, Bill Levinson writes in Israpundit.com.
According to Levinson, the US has no statute of limitations on murder and since al-Megrahi never stood trial in an American court of law, his conviction in Scotland does not invoke protection from double jeopardy.

Taliban terrorists cut off the ink-stained fingers of two Afghan voters in the militant south during the presidential election, the Guardian reports.
Two voters who had dipped their index fingers in purple ink – a fraud prevention measure – were attacked in Kandahar province shortly after voting on Thursday, according to Nader Nadery, the head of the Free and Fair Election Foundation of Afghanistan.
