Early results from Afghanistan’s presidential election show that the main contenders – President Hamid Karzai and former Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah – are running neck and neck, the Daily Telegraph reports.
Out of the half-million ballots initially counted, Karzai had 212,927 votes or 40.6 percent, while Abdullah was on 202,889 votes or 38.6 percent.

Free-to-edit Wikipedia are about to introduce a new policy of vetting any changes to its articles about living people, the Daily Mail reports.
The original idea for the site was that all contributors had the power to edit, improve and update the content.
