Obama’s “Kennedy-photo” – it can’t get any more pathetic

The White House have released a photograph of President Barack Obama’s daughter Sasha sneaking up on her father as he works in the Oval Office, the image has drawn comparisons with the famous 1963 image of John F Kennedy Jr playing underneath the Oval Office desk as his father reads documents.

The photograph, taken in early August and released through the official White House Flickr website, shows eight-year-old Sasha Obama sneaking up on her father from behind a sofa as he reads at the desk, the BBC reports.

Yes, many have compared Obama to a lot of previous presidents. He himself probably also thinks that he’s a lot like Kennedy, or whoever. (I personally hope he’s like Jimmy Carter – getting to enjoy the White House for only one term.)

But this is just purely pathetic and ridiculous. I am 107% sure this photo was taken on that very purpose – to show it off with the famous Kennedy photo and promote Obama’s “likeness” to the President Kennedy. And naturally the media are now presenting the two photos and talking how wonderful it is that Obama is so similar to Kennedy.

If he only was.

Obama probably has a strong desire to belong somewhere, and also he’s very eager to be like someone – apparently he doesn’t like to be himself. But the photo isn’t going to help. Obama will never ever reach Kennedy’s level.
