Vodafone and Orange to sell iPhone in UK
Both Vodafone and Orange are to sell Apple’s iPhone in the United Kingdom, so far O2 had the exclusive right to sell the smartphone in Britain.
Orange are to sell iPhones in time for Christmas and Vodafone will start providing iPhone to their customers in the Uk and Ireland from 2010, The Times reports.
O2’s exclusive deal with Apple ends in November.
Both Orange and Vodafone have stayed silent on pricing details, although it is widely assumed that competition for iPhone customers could result in lower prices, given the experience in other markets where exclusivity deals have come to an end.
