Spanish Government consist of utter idiots only

Not only are the Spanish Government hopeless communists, they’re also hopeless idiots. Because there is no other way to explain the measures they approved today.
The Spanish Government, lead by the Mr Bean lookalike, but about 1000 times stupider Jose Luis Zapatero, approved a decree today that sets limits on the temperature that air conditioners and heaters can be set to in public spaces such as bars and offices and such.

First English malt whisky goes on sale for 100 years

An English whisky will go on sale for the first time in 100 years, the Daily Mail reports.
Bottles of the single malt, made by the English Whisky Company, will each carry an image of St George slaying the dragon.
The firm are planning to stock it in shops from 16th December and will be sending bottles around the world after Christmas. A 700ml bottle will sell for £34.99.

Leaving the engine on to defrost windows may result in a fine

Motorists who leave their cars running on frosty mornings to warm up the engine and clear the windscreen could face being fined under anti-pollution rules this winter, the Daily Mail reports.

Lord Pearson chosen as new UKIP leader

The UK Independence Party have chosen Lord Pearson of Rannoch as the man to lead them into the next General Election, 4ni.co.uk reports.
Lord Pearson will succeed outgoing party leader Nigel Farage, who stood down to focus on his Parliamentary ambitions.
UKIP came second to the Conservatives in June’s European Parliament elections.

VIDEO: Scottish brewery launch world’s strongest beer

Scottish brewery BrewDog have launched the world’s strongest beer – “Tactical Nuclear Penguin” has 32% alcohol.
The drink is so strong that it should be served in small measures usually reserved for spirits, the Daily Telegraph reports.
BrewDog described the beer as their “most audacious and ambitious project to date”.
BrewDog were previously responsible for an 18.2% drink called Tokyo. They also made a low alcohol brew which they mockingly name “Nanny State”.

Brown and dictators: Mugabe to be readmitted to Commonwealth

Prime Minister Gordon Brown last night extended an olive branch to Zimbabwe’s dictator Robert Mugabe as he set out plans to readmit the African country to the Commonwealth.
Brown said he wanted to agree a timetable to allow the country to return to the organisation after eight years, the Daily Mail reports. Zimbabwe pulled out of the 53-nation organisation six years ago after it was suspended because of Mugabe’s tyrannical regime.

Force India retain Sutil and Liuzzi

The Force India team are to retain Adrian Sutil and Vitantonio Liuzzi as their drivers for the 2010 season, the BBC reports.
German Sutil will be entering his fourth season with the team in F1, and Italian Liuzzi’s performances after being promoted to the race team from test driver for the last five races of last year have earned another chance.

Darling to admit: recession is deeper than feared

Chancellor Alistair Darling will admit in next month’s Pre-Budget report that the recession is proving even deeper than feared, the Daily Mail reports.
Darling will forecast the steepest annual slump since modern records began, but he is likely to put a brave face on the outlook by declaring that Britain has finally returned to growth in the fourth quarter of the year.

IAEA condemn Iran’s nuclear cover-up

The United Nations’ nuclear watchdog’s governing body passed a resolution today condemning Iran for developing a uranium enrichment site in secret, the BBC reports.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) resolution also demanded that Iran freeze the project immediately.
The resolution, the first against Iran in nearly four years, was passed by a 25-3 margin with six abstentions.

Fears stalk global markets on Dubai debt crisis

Shares in London tumbled as the market opened this morning, following steep losses in Asia, as investor panic over banks’ exposure to Dubai’s growing financial problems gathered pace, The Times reports.

BMW sell F1 team back to Peter Sauber

BMW have agreed to sell their Formula 1 team back to Peter Sauber, on condition that the team receive an entry for 2010, autosport.com reports.
The German car maker announced earlier this year that they were pulling out of Formula 1, but said that they had agreed a deal with Swiss company Qadbak, who was to run the team in the future. BMW said on Friday, however, that the Qadbak deal would not be completed.

According to a new study, food waste per person in the United States has shot up 50 per cent since 1994, and about 40% of all food produced in the States is thrown out, LiveScience reports.

Citizenship approvals up by two thirds

Foreign nationals are being handed a British passport every two minutes after a sharp jump in approvals for citizenship, the Daily Telegraph reports.
A total of 54,430 migrants were granted British citizenship between July and September this year – the equivalent of more than 600 people every day.
