Manufacturing has suffered a sharper decline under Labour than it did in the 1980ies under Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s leadership, the Daily Mail reports.
The revelation will be an acute embarrassment for the Government, which have sought to portray the sector’s woes as a consequence of Tory neglect.

Thatcher returns to No 10 for unveiling of her new portrait

Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher yesterday returned to No 10 Downing Street for the official unveiling of her new portrait.
The former prime minister is believed to be the first living politician to have her portrait hung in the official residence. Although photos of all modern prime ministers line the main staircase, only two 20th century premiers have paintings on display: David Lloyd George and Winston Churchill.

Happy birthday, Lady Thatcher!

The greatest post-war Prime Minister, Baroness Thatcher is celebrating her 84th birthday today.
Margaret Hilda Roberts was born on 13th October, 1925 to Alfred Roberts, originally from Northamptonshire, and Beatrice Roberts née Stephenson from Lincolnshire.
She grew up to be a strong leader and an excellent, efficient Prime Minister who managed to bring this country back from the dumpster Labour had driven it to.

Ken Clarke, the shadow business secretary, has warned his party that the Conservatives are on course to inherit a worse economic outlook than any incoming Tory government since the war, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Harriet Harman’s “equalities” office don’t name Thatcher in “Women in Power” factsheet

Harriet Harman’s Government Equalities Office have produced a factsheet called “Women in Power: Milestones”, where all achievements of women in politics over the last century are recoded, and all women are identified by their names, except for the UK’s first female Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

Former Prime Minister, Baroness Margaret Thatcher will be discharged from hospital tomorrow after an operation on her broken arm, the Daily Telegraph reports.
Lady Thatcher had a heavy fall at her London home more than two weeks ago and fractured her upper shoulder. After the break failed to heal as well as doctors had hoped, she underwent an operation to put in a pin into the shoulder.
The 83-year-old former Prime Minister spent 17 days in hospital.

A number of bloggers are reporting of the Telegraph story that former Prime Minister, Baroness Thatcher has fell at her home and taken to a hospital. According to the report, 83-year-old Baroness lost her footing and fell. She was taken to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital by ambulance.
Doctors are carrying out x-rays after she suffered a painful injury to her upper arm, she was also badly shaken, the newspaper said.
