Iran has successfully tested “an upgraded version” of its longest-range, solid-fuel missile, Fox News reports.
State television broke the news in a one-sentence report that gave no details on the test of the Sajjil-2 missile, a high-speed, surface-to-surface missile with a range of about 1,200 miles.

According to a Polish daily, the United States will abandon plans to house an anti-missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic, Washington TV reports.
The multi-billion dollar project, intended for defence against attacks from Iran and other rogue states, was to install 10 interceptor missiles in Poland and a radar base in the Czech Republic. It had met with fierce objections from Russia.

According to a Japanese news report, North Korea may launch a long-range ballistic missile toward Hawaii in early June.
Japanese newspaper Yomiuri said that the missile, believed to be a Taepodong-2 with a range of up to 4,000 miles, would be launched from North Korea’s Dongchang-ni site on the northwestern coast, the AP reports. The missile could be launched between 4th and 8th July.

Iran, where presidential election is taking place today, is according to a new report six years away from producing an ocean-leaping missile, capable of hitting the United States, Ynet reports.
