Citizens of Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro can travel visa-free to all countries that have signed the Schengen Agreement – which is most of the EU, the BBC reports.
From Saturday, citizens of the three former Yugoslav republics who hold biometric passports will not need visas to enter the borderless Schengen area. The UK still requires visas, because it is outside the Schengen zone.

Citizenship approvals up by two thirds

Foreign nationals are being handed a British passport every two minutes after a sharp jump in approvals for citizenship, the Daily Telegraph reports.
A total of 54,430 migrants were granted British citizenship between July and September this year – the equivalent of more than 600 people every day. It means the country remains on course to hand out more than 200,000 passport to foreign workers, family members and others who have been allowed to settle in …

Pakistani soldiers battling their way into a Taliban stronghold along the Afghan border have seized passports that may be linked to 9/11 suspects, Fox News reports.
Soldiers seized the passports in a US-backed operation, among them a German document belonging to a man named Said Bahaji. That matches the name of a man thought to have been a member of the Hamburg cell that conceived the 9/11 attacks. Bahaji is believed to have fled Germany shortly …

In an outrageous development it has emerged that migrants will get a British passport quicker if they stand on picket lines or knock on doors, asking people to vote for Labour, the Daily Mail reports.
